The other day I was digging around my room cleaning things up, and I found this old treasure.  Yes it is my 1st Gen. iPod from way back in 2002!  The iPod was originally released in October I believe it was in 2001.  Well I got mine refurbished sometime in 2002.  It has a spacious 5gb of storage, and lacks the “distractions” of modern iPods such as color screens, picture capabilities, ability to play games, or video playback.  

 

So now the reason it was missing is because it was retired due to the fact that the battery was long since dead.  Anyone who owned one of the first gen iPods surely suffered the same fate.  So being the curious fellow I am, I popped over to ebay and located a battery replacement for the old girl for around $10-15 shipped.  So time to order it, crack her open and then enjoy some old school tunes.  After that who knows maybe i’ll even give her a new hard drive at some point...
